For in the smallest particles and the boundless waves, there lies a divine rhythm--a symphony of life. May this devotional fill your days with wonder and the embrace of love. |

PSALM 90:1-4
“Lord, You have been our refuge
in every generation.
Before the mountains were born,
before You gave birth to the earth and the world,
from eternity to eternity, You are God.
You return mankind to the dust,
saying, ‘Return, descendants of Adam.’
For in Your sight a thousand years
are like yesterday that passes by,
like a few hours of the night.”
***
When was the last time you slowed down enough to think about the creation of the universe? Or the vastness that is God and the endless
time He holds? Before there were stars in the sky or a sun shining bright, before there was dirt, or water, or mountains – before it all,
there was God. Consider all the power and imagination God must possess to create the entire universe – He used it all for you. He built
spaces for you to create, learn, and experience joy and rest. He shaped it all, not just for your enjoyment, but that through it all you may come
to know Him. From the beginning of time to the end, God calls His children to Him, to find a safe place to land, to discover His truth, and
to experience His love. How can that knowledge shape your day today?
***
Risk: Spend at least thirty minutes doing something that makes you feel alive.
Reflect: What is something in the vast universe that brings a smile to your face? Spend at least five minutes reflecting on how God had you
in mind when He created it.

Who Is Amy Cefoldo?
Amy wrote that sample devotional day above!
Here's her bio: There once was a girl, who always had her nose buried in a book, ink staining her hands from scribbling down stories and lost to daydreams of finding her “Happily Ever After.” Fast forward a few years (give or take a couple decades) and that girl is still me…with a few minor changes. My nose, of course, will always be found in a book -- or five -- and I have an ever-growing pile of books to read. I traded in my pen for the clickity-clack of a keyboard and I fill the night creating new worlds. The daydreaming of my “Happily Ever After” came true when I married my nerdy prince and we live in our yellow “castle” with our royal subjects: two adventurous boys and three feisty cats.
“Of Atoms and Oceans” is my debut publication. |
